Home of the Hatters

Home to one of the busiest airports in England, Luton is a large town to the North West of London on the M1 motorway. Luton was once famous for producing hats, hence the nickname of Luton Town Football Club, “The Hatters”. In recent years the town has received a lot of financial investment. St.George’s has been rebuilt and the main shopping centre in the area, The Mall Luton, has been extended too. Luton was once home to a large Vauxhall car production plant and commercial vehicles are still built here.

If you’re not in the market to purchase a car, why not treat yourself to a luxury car hire in Luton. There is plenty to see in the surrounding area, so visit the sites in a supercar, a convertible sports car or a British prestige luxury car such as a Bentley or a Rolls Royce.

What To Do In Luton

Specs Comedy – Once a month some of the UK's funniest comedians come together to put on a night of laughs at Specs Comedy. The venue is actually the Eric Morecambe suite at Luton Town Football Club. As part of the famous Morecambe and Wise double-act, Eric brought laughs to the world and was a big Luton Town fan. Now the room carrying his name hosts one of the best comedy nights you'll find anywhere.

Grosvenor Casino – A great night out if you fancy your hand a Poker or Blackjack. You don't have to spend a lot to have a good time, and at weekends the action is accompanied by live music. Why not pull up in an Aston Martin and pretend you're James Bond for the night?

Wrest Park – A peaceful Oasis, Wrest Park is a 92 acre site surrounding a beautiful 19th century mansion. Take a look around the house, paying particularly attention to the decorative ceilings, or simply take a relaxing stroll through the gardens. Incidentally, there is a large area of the gardens that was designed by the famous Lancelot “Capability” Brown.

ZSL Whipsnade Zoo – This large Zoo and Safari Park will keep you and the family entertained all day. Set over 600 acres in the Chiltern Hills, there are more than 2,500 species to observe including elephants and lions. Why not take your own big cat there for the day, with a supercharged Jaguar XFRS?

Santa Pod Raceway – Around 20 miles up the M1 is the UK's premier drag racing strip, Santa Pod Raceway. This is the playground of the fastest-accelerating cars in the country. This would be a great place to drive a supercar and watch the professionals in action. It's worth checking the Santa Pod website before you travel, as there are special events on most weekends

Renting Luxury Cars In Luton

Shaw's Corner – Have a look around the former residence of the famous Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw. At the bottom of his garden is a hut that he called “London”, where he wrote many of his major works. Take the tour to find out why he gave it this name.

The Mossman Collection – If you enjoy cars and engineering then there's a chance you will also enjoy this collection of horse-drawn carriages too. This is an impressive collection that spans the work of George Mossman of Caddington, as he built and restored horse-drawn vehicles for over 50 years.

The Hat Factory – The whimsically-named Hat Factory is a centre for the modern arts. Here you can see theatre performances, live music, dancers and comedians. There is a gallery and up-and-coming local musicians can often be seen here. If you would like to get involved yourself, The Hat Factory run regular workshops and classes too.
