I have recently come across iSuperdrive, so thought it would be interesting to see the cars available to hire, the cost and which ones appeal to me most and why? Do they only feature new cars, or can I get a classic car or supercar drive?
iSuperdrive say that they offer a one-stop price comparison and booking service for luxury cars, chauffeur services, classic car hire and driving experiences. Their mission is to take the frustration out of car rental and make your international luxury car hire experience a pleasure – at every stage of your journey. Sounds good to me.
The website is pretty simple to use, but you have to know where you are going, as location is a key input criteria when doing a search. So when I searched for a car I wanted to drive, for example the Ferrari 488 GTB, you don’t get results, unless you put in location. Hopefully in the future the search criteria may include that functionality also.
So what 10 cars do iSuperdrive feature that I would like to hire and drive and why?
I’ve highlighted lots of hire options in this post, but have highlighted in bold those top 10 cars to hire in my opinion, throughout the article.
Our first search, searching under “Service Type” was the luxury cars option. What cars could we hire in Italy, home of some of the world’s most desirable car marques.
We got 5 choices back from this search, these were: Ferrari California T, Lamborghini Huracan, Mercedes-Benz S500, Aston Martin V8 Vantage S, Ferrari California T and Rolls-Royce Ghost V Spec. What a nice selection, with prices at the time of writing from £580 to £1965 per day.
Here I think I’d go for the Ferrari California T. The noise, the roof up or down, options and what’s not to love.
My search moved onto hiring a car in Nice, France, searching under “Service Type” was the luxury cars option. What’s not to love about Nice? There were 104 options here at the time of writing, with prices starting at £134 per day for an Audi A1, up to £3126 per day for a Lamborghini Aventador Spyder.
Porsche Boxster S from £245 per day and a Range Rover Vogue from £156 per day seem great deals. But the two (of many) cars that I’d choose would be:
My search moved onto hiring a car in Barcelona, Spain, searching under “Service Type” was the luxury cars option. What’s not to love about Barcelona? It’s a favourite European city of ours. There were 52 options here at the time of writing, with prices starting at £52 per day for a cute Fiat 500 Lounge Cabrio, up to £1563 for a Ferrari 452 Spider.
Cars that stood out for me were:
Moving up to supercars:
My search moved onto hiring a car in Edinburgh, Scotland, searching under the luxury cars option. Edinburgh is a great city, and you can get out onto the backroads after not driving too far. There were 11 options here at the time of writing, with prices starting at £95 per day for a very cool Land Rover Defender 110 Hardtop, up to £240 per day for a Range Rover Vogue.
Here I’d go for either;
Close to home now. My search moved onto hiring a car in London, England searching under the luxury cars option. London is one of the greatest cities in the world, so move around in luxury. There were 99 options here at the time of writing, with prices starting at £78 per day for a BMW X1, up to £4000 per day for a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster SV.
Here I’d go for:
However, now I changed the search “service type” to Rent Classic Cars, and what wonders I found. There were 9 results here at the time of writing, with prices starting at £265 per day for a BMW 635 CSi, up to £495 per day for either a Dino 206 GT or Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster.
There is certainly lots of choice for luxury and classic car hire and in time I have no doubt that there will be even more as iSuperdrive evolves and expands, and the population want to own less and rent more.
